Lushka Organic Skincare Studio is a new business owned and
operated by Sheri Muscarella, certified Esthetician. Lushka,
whose name was derived from the two words LUSH meaning
opulent and sumptuous and KA, an Egyptian sign meaning life
force is the essence of Sheri’s business concept for her
skincare treatments to promote health and beauty for all her
clients. Lushka is located in the Health and Harmony
building at 27 Broadway Avenue in Mystic, Connecticut.

Before there was Lushka, Sheri attended the GalMar Academy
of Hairdressing and Cosmetology in 1995, following her
passion for beauty and esthetics, to become a certified
esthetician. She began her career at the Rob Rivers Salon in
Old Lyme, Connecticut, a salon and spa in the forefront of
its profession for 20 years. Sheri traveled between this and
the Mystic location for six years, growing a strong and
loyal clientele while serving as esthetic advisor for Rob.
She continued her education and commitment to the expansion
of her esthetic portfolio by attending one of the first
certification programs for microdermabrasion with Laura Root
in 2000. In June of 2001, Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Spa, a
leader in the industry and a company known for its luxury
branded and rapidly growing services opened its doors at the
Mystic Marriott Hotel in Groton, Connecticut. Sheri joined
their new, fresh team and quickly rose to esthetic lead in
October of 2001. In 2007, Sheri continued her commitment in
staying current with trends in cosmetology and esthetics and
added to her portfolio a certification by Xtreme Lashes, a
global leader in eyelash extension applications. In 2010,
Sheri received the Outstanding Leadership Award from
Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Spa, being recognized as the best
in her field among 28 lead estheticians in the Red Door
global market. Her years of leadership and continued success
in her field, gave segue for Sheri to begin her own endeavor
and open the doors to Lushka which she did in August of
2010.
Sheri’s educational background and professional experience
have prepared her for the next chapter in her career with
Lushka. Her many years in this industry have allowed her the
fortune of building a strong and loyal clientele. Meagan
Devers, a client of 5 years, has followed Sheri to Lushka.
